DAY TO DAY ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU

Arrival in TIA Kathmandu, Welcome by our staff and transfer to Hotel

Short briefing in the evening for the planned trip

DAY 2: KATHMANDU

Breakfast at Hotel
Transfer to Showyambhunath Stupa that lies on a hilltop of west of city centre
Renown Bajrayana Buddhist shrine is UNESCO listed religious site with spectacular view of the valley.
There are as many Monkeys as the visitors/pilgrims.
(Be careful not to expose food to them to avoid snatching. Hindus consider them as god’s avatars)
Many fine souvenir shops on the northern corner of the shrine.

Transfer to Kathmandu Durbar Squares that lies 1 km south of Thamel.
Visit 17th century old Royal Palaces, Temples and living goddess Kumari, Shiva Parvati Temple etc. are UNESCO listed heritage site of Nepal.
Lunch in front of Nine Storey Royal Palace

Drive to Pashupatinath Temple (UNESCO listed site) that lies nearby Airport on the bank of Holy River Baghmati
This famous Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is Mecca for Indian Hindu Pilgrims
Meet the Sadhus, Brahmans, observe live cremation functions held on the Ghats
Return to Hotel and leisure at your own.

DAY 3: BHAKTAPUR AND BAUDHANATH

Breakfast at Hotel
Drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Squares (UNESCO listed heritage site), medieval kingdom of 17th Century, situated 20 km southeast of Kathmandu
Explore the beautiful and neatly restored old palaces, its splendid golden gates, Lion guards and barking bell.
Turn to right to see the beautiful Pashupati Temple of Bhaktapur
It is a replica of orginal Pashupatinath of Kathmandu.
The wooden struts are beautifully crafted with Kamasutra images to give sex education in medieval time.
Turn left to reach Taumadi Tol, where you will see the wish fulfilling goddess temple the Nyatapola and demon chasing Akash Bhairab Temple.
Five minutes walk to southwest reaches the pottery square where on can see many potteries drying on the sun.
You can also try to mould with help of artist who makes the pottery on the place.

Transfer to Baudhanath stupa one of the biggest Buddhist stupa of Asia and listed in UNESCO.
Explore monasteries and market around. Climb up to the first step of the Stupa to see the grandeur and find the inner peace.
Circle the Stupa and enter inside a Monastery situated north of Stupa
It is dedicated to Great Master Guru Rimportse or also called Guru Padmashambhawa.
Legend says a widow built it in 5th century
Padmashambhawa believed to be one of her son that contributed a lot for completion of the site.
Return to Hotel (BL)

DAY 4: DRIVE TO JANAKPUR VIA SINDHULI

Arrival at Janakpur and installation in Hotel and rest

DAY 5: EXPLORE RAM JANAKI MANDIR AND ITS MITHILA ARTS

Breakfast at Hotel
Visit Ram Janaki Temple and walk around
Visit Maithili art also call Mithila art Center and explore the village in a traditional Ox driven cart.
It is used by local farmer prior to introduction of modern Tractors but still in use in rural area
Hindu Epic Ramayana explains that God Ram from Ajodhya, India has married the princes Sita of Janakpur.
The Temple is dedicated to the father of princess Sita the king Janak.

DAY 6: DRIVE TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

5h drive to Chitwan National Park (UNESCO listed Natural Heritage site of Nepal)
Arrival and allocation of the room and rest
Evening Tharu village walk
Tharu food cooking participation with local women group
Tharu Cultural Show after Diner

DAY 7: JUNGLE ACTIVITIES IN THE PARK

Morning Trip:
15 to 20 Minutes Dugout Canoe trip to meet the Mugar and Gharial Crocodile
1 h Rumble in the Jungle by foot
Visit Elephant breeding Center
See the Mummy Elephant and Baby Elephant (No Papa Elephant as they love to stay inside the Jungle!)
Return for the Lunch

Afternoon Trip:
Penetrate Inside the National Park with open Hood Land-Rover Jeep
Sudden encounter of the big jungle Cats such Royal Bengal Tiger (cross the finger!)
Also encounter many wild antelopes, birds, one horn Rhinoceros
Visit the Crocodile breeding Center inside the Park
See both PAPA Croc, Mummy Croc feeding their hundreds of little baby Crocs
(No worry, they are inside in a big Pond)
Return to Sauraha Beach crossing the river by a dugout canoe.
Second biggest favorite place of all visitors after the Park
Watch the beauty of sunset shipping local tastes in a offshore restaurant.
Drive back to Tharu Home for Diner.

DAY 8: JUNGLE ACTIVITIES AND DRIVE TO LUMBINI

Wake-up Tea/Coffee and an hour long Elephant Back riding Safaris in the Park
Return to Home for Breakfast
Departure for Lumbini, lunch on board
Arrival and installation in a Monastery in Lumbini
Visit Mayadevi Temple and sacred Garden that is also listed as UNESCO cultural heritage site.
Overnight in the Monastery Guest House (BLD)

DAY 9: LUMBINI MONASTIC ZONE AND DRIVE TO PALPA

Breakfast at Monastery
Explore Monastic Zone of Lumbini, Peace Pagoda and Eternal Peace Flame.
Drive to Palpa Tansen for Lunch
Explore Palpa Bazaar, Villages, Temples and Dhaka Cloth Factory.

DAY 10: PALPA  TO POKHARA

Early Morning hike to Shreenagar hill to see the Annapurna Himalayas
Breakfast at Hotel and 5h drive to Pokhara, Lake Ciy.
Arrival and installation in Hotel at Lakeside
Walk on the Shore of Phewa Lake and dine in a restaurant with live music.

DAY 11: EXPLORE POKHARA

Early morning transfer to Sarangkot Hill for Sunrise and Majestic Annapurna View.
Breakfast and 4h hiking up to Nagdanda
Drive to Hemja Tibetan Refugee Camp for Lunch
Explore the Camp and buy some souvenirs
Ride on the 400m suspension bridges over the Seti River
Drive back to Lake Side.
Evening diner at your own choice

DAY 12: EXPLORE POKHARA AND FLY BACK TO KATHMANDU
