    AN OVERVIEW
    This is the famous Annapurna base camp trek with a day’s hiking to the Annapurna South Glacier or the Hiunchuli base camp that offers you the perfect Himalayan adventure. We change the traditional route of this trek by adding a bit of adventure for those interested in seeing the spectacular landscape of the Himalayas and climbing up to the Annapurna South Glacier.

    The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is also called Annapurna Sanctuary Trek and is a medium level trek that starts from Luwang Ghalel village, north of Pokhara. We follow a rhododendron forest trail to Mardi Himal Forest Camp and rejoin the beautiful village of Landrung.

    The Annapurna Sanctuary is a unique, gigantic site encircled by many high mountains above 8000 meter and Glaciers. Located at 4130 m altitude, you will have the opportunity to see the 360 ° panoramic view of the Annapurna massif.

    The Annapurna I (8 091 m) was climbed first time by the team of French mountaineers Maurice Herzog, and Louis Lachenal in 1950.

    This trek is recommended for the Spring Season (March-May) and Autumn Season (Sept-Nov).
    There will be a lot of snow on high passes during winter and Muddy Roads & landslides during monsoon season.

    DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KATMANDOU (1 350 M)
    Arrival and Visa Formalities, Welcome and transfer to the Hotel. Over Night Hotel in Kathmandu.
    DAY 2: KATMANDOU-POKHARA-KHORAMUKH (1 000 M) -LUWANG (1 460 M)
    Departure for Pokhara, about 8h drives to Khoramukh (1000 m). From the bridge a short village walk with a steep uphill climb to reach the beautiful Gurung village of Luwang (1460 m) specializing in tea production. Nice view of the valley and the surrounding villages. Panoramic Mountain View of Mardi Himal, Macchapuchare and Annapurna III.

    DAY 3: LUWANG (1 460 M)- FOREST CAMP (2 600 M) – LANDRUK (1 560 M)
    We begin our journey from Luwang by climbing through the forests of rhododendrons. We will perhaps see some wild animals, including deer and many birds. Lunch at Forest Camp (2600 m) and then trek down sometimes steep by a small path to the village of Landruk.

    DAY 4: LANDRUK (1 560 M) – JHINU-CHHOMRONG (2 050 M)
    Gradual descent passing through beautiful water falls. We cross the Modi Khola River on a suspension bridge at New Bridge (1 340 m). Lunch at Jhinu Danda (1780 m), climb a bit steep until Chomrong Village.

    DAY 5: CHOMRONG (2 050 M) – DOVAN (2 600 M)
    Descent to the Chomrong River by stairs, then steep climb to Sinuwa. Beautiful view of the Machapuchare, We trek down through a forested path, arrive at Bamboo Lodge and finally Dovan (2 600 m).

    DAY 6: DOVAN (2 600 M) – MACCHAPUCHRE BASE CAMP (3 700 M)
    Gradual climb through the rhododendron forest up to Deurali (3 200 m), then we reach the base camp of Machapuchare (3 700 m). Overnight at Machapuchare base camp.

    DAY 7: MACCHAPUCHRE BASE CAMP (3 700 M) – SANCTUIRE OF ANNAPURNA (4 130 M)
    After a quick breakfast at Lodge, We walk to Annapurna Base Camp. Afternoon, explore the Base Camp and its surroundings and get closer to the glaciers. Over Night in Lodge on the “Sanctuary of Annapurna” (4130 m).

    DAY 8: SANCTUUIRE OF ANNAPURNA (4130 M) – BAMBOO (2325 M)
    At sunrise, unforgettable 360° ​​view of the 13 summits of the Annapurna massif from the “Annapurna Sanctuary” (4130 m). Then long descent to Bamboo (2325 m).
    – 6 hours of walking

    DAY 9: BAMBOO (2325 M) – CHHOMRONG (2170 M)
    We walk about 4 hours to reach Chomrong, beautiful Gurung village facing Annapurna South and Macchapuchare Mountain.

    DAY 10:CHHOMRONG (2170 M) – GHANDRUNG (1950 M)
    Easy walk to Ghandruk Village, a beautiful Gurung village with stone roofed houses. Superb view of the Annapurna Mountains.

    DAY 11: GHANDRUNG – BIRETHANTI (1100 M) – POKHARA (828 M)
    4h walk down through well-paved path to the Kimche Village and trace down the village trail up to the Birethanti (1100 m) and then transfer by vehicle to Pokhara. Afternoon free, time for relaxing in Pokhara.
    – 4 hours of walking

    DAY 12: DRIVE BACK FROM POKHARA-KATMANDOU
    Drive back to Kathmandu that takes 7 to 8h. Lunch on the way. Arrival in Afternoon & Free in Kathmandu.
    DAY 13: KATHMANDU AND ITS VALLEY
    Visit Baudhanth Stupa in Kathmandu and drive to Bhaktapur City. Afternoon, Visit Patan City.
    DAY 14: DEPARTURE
    Transfer to the airport for your final departure or any other scheduled destinations.
