Overview
This trek begins at Ngadi bazaar and end at Jomsom. After a seven hours drive from Kathmandu, you reach the Ngadi Bazzar city situated near by Marsyangdi River. We pass along paddy fields and subtropical forests, beautiful mountain scenery, several waterfalls and gigantic cliffs, and experience ethnic Gurungs, Thakali & magar communities’ village life.
The villages of Nar & Phu lie in between boarder Himalayan ranges and Trans Himalayan Range of Manang District of Nepal. This trek is perfect for travellers who want to discover the Annapurna circuit as well as explore an untouched valley. The inhabitants, who roughly comprises of about 300 Nepalese Himalayan families, have retained their age-old Himalayan culture. Their distinct spectrum of cultural pattern, ecology, environment, economy, social substances and marriage system, ornaments, dresses and dances, religion, food habits are completely different from the hill & Terai people. People of Nar & Phu gaon practice Ngingmapa Buddhism along with Bon tradition. These people of Nar and Phu called Narwas.
We follow traditional itinerary of the Annapurna Circuit trek by deviating few days while exploring a hidden valley the Nar & Phu Valley. A rough and wild trek, this trek takes you to the exotic Nar & Phu valley that lies in the remote corner by modernity. The hidden valley of Nar Phu trek deviate from Dharapani going beyond the Manang village and rejoins at Ngawal village to rejoin the Manang Village.
From Manang, we take the direction of Tilicho Lake and trek up to Khangsar Village () and trek to the Lake.
We cross a challenging high pass of Mesokanto-la Pass (5 120m) to reach the Thini Gaon where you will be greeted in Thakali Community Home stay houses. The evening Thakalis cultural show gives rare glimpse of their culture & tradition, which is introduced lately since April 2018.
This trek also offers fantastic views of the Annapurna massif, Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri, Manaslu Himal, Dhaulagiri range and Tilicho peak.
